Welcome to the Active Disabilities Foundation official website.  In the times of this modern era, more people are in need of help.  Disabilities of various types are increasingly common affecting all races and nationalities.  Many individuals and families are unable to meet rising health costs for treatments and prolonged survival. The overall objective of this charitable foundation is to assist in such matters and beyond.  Ultimately, the Active Disabilities Foundation strives to have those in need assisted with the best possible scenario.  Although help with medication and proper supplies is dire, it is not all that should be addressed.  We believe firmly that "quality of life" is equally important.  Therefore our services reach outside of financial allocation, legal assistance, and counseling.  While enduring disability hardships, the afflicted deserve a chance to shine a little brighter.  We are fully committed to carrying out these goals as Active Disabilities Foundation continues to flourish.

Assistance

Our commitment to helping the disabled community is forever undying among our members and officers.  Strong support throughout our organization is what allows us to provide assistance to those in need.  ADF provides informal and professional counseling for recently injured individuals as well as their families.  Acquiring a disability is a life changing experience in many respects.  Simply adapting to a completely different lifestyle with certain limitations is in itself mentally and emotionally exhaustive.  The counseling support team consists of members who have gone through similar situations during their life.  These people can give advice, support, and knowledge pertaining to various situations.  In addition, an ongoing list of professional psychologists will be provided.  All referred professionals will have had prior experience in working with the disabled community.  Financial help will also be provided to clients who are unable to afford professional counseling.

Many people who have a disability are also saddled with a host of current or potential legal problems. These legalities may have occurred because of an unfortunate or tragic incident.  If this is the case, it may also have been the resulting factor for a new disability.  Often times legal circumstances may be extended due to settlements, benefits, insurance claims, etc.  Active Disabilities Foundation will provide partial to full financial assistance for legal services.  A list of attorneys specializing in disabilities will be compiled specific to the client's situational needs. There are many obvious and hidden avenues concerning disabled law.  Having a qualified attorney who can guide you through dilemmas and loopholes is one less stress for the person in need.

A primary objective of this foundation as stated before is to provide assistance for those in need who are affected by different types of disabilities.  The affected individuals and their families normally incur more than a fair share of expenses.  From inflated medical bills to added everyday costs, financial assistance is a large portion of the ADF's commitment.  We will work closely with each client to determine exactly how much financial assistance is necessary.  The extent of our help varies according to each client's unique situation.  However, in all cases we do all that is possible in order to satisfy disabled people's needs.  There are no specific guidelines or criteria to meet when requesting a funds disbursement.  All financial requests are reviewed and treated equally.

Active Disabilities Foundation believes wholeheartedly in the concept known as "quality of life".  This is where fun and memorable moments become just as important as medical day-to-day responsibilities.  Based on this idea ADF also allocates funds where intent is to enhance a disabled person's life.  Some examples are family vacations, computer equipment, and personalized hobbies.  Maintaining a good, fulfilling lifestyle will add longevity to an individual's life.  Just because circumstance may have altered a person's abilities, DOES NOT mean all is lost.  There can be many years of rich living ahead for each one of us.  Active Disabilities Foundation aims to make this concept a true and definitive thought in the minds of all.

Membership

We welcome any and all individuals, clubs, businesses, organizations, etc. that wish to partake in a membership with Active Disabilities Foundation.  Those who would like to be a member need to undergo a fairly simple process.  Although very much appreciated, a donation is not required for membership.  Just send an email to activedisabilities@gmail.com with your full name and desired role.  For example, if you wish to donate only you would say "donater".  On the other hand, if you can provide professional services you put "lawyer" or an otherwise appropriate title.  No matter how small or large a contribution we are happy to receive any kind of support.  Volunteer work is also greatly acknowledged as a much needed support avenue.

Partnerships & Associations

Active Disabilities Foundation is proud to announce its recent direct partnership with Chipper Publications.  The company will be giving 75% of the total profits to ADF.  While this amount is unusually substantial, the unique nature of the partnership allows for this.  We would like to openly welcome all businesses to engage in similar ventures.  This type of association can only benefit both parties.

Funding & Support

Naturally our primary source of funding for the ADF is comprised of donations.  Active Disabilities Foundation looks to give assistance to the disabled for decades to come.  In order to achieve this, heavy support is required from our members both present and future.  As of now this organization is in the early development stages.  To carry this farther it will take dedication, donation, determination, and drive.  With continuous community and member support ADF will undoubtedly prosper at all its goals and objectives.  Please lend your support and submit to an act of pure goodness.  Donations may be sent online using the button below or by mail.  All contributions are tax deductible.
