Limekiln State
Park is near Big
Sur.
During the
time from November
1st thru March 21st you
will find a limited number of campsites
available without reservations on a first come-first serve basis.
It is located just off Highway 1, near Big Sur, California. It is about 56 miles
from Carmel and 2 miles south of Lucia. Take a hike to see some really lovely waterfalls.
SAFETY and
Camping
At places like
Limekiln State Park near Big Sur, California the weather
changes quickly.
Rangers recommend wearing
clothing that can be layered.
Always remember to
bring water on a hike.
Always remember to tell
someone where you are going and
when you expect
to return.
