What is The Lord Jesus in Your Life???

HE is everything in my life and.....

He is the first and last, the beginning and the end.
He is the keeper of creation and the creator of all.
He is the architect of the universe and the manager of all times.
He always is and He will always be... unmoved, unchanged, undefeated and never undone.
He was bruised and brought healing. He was pierced and eased pain.
He was persecuted and brought freedom. He was dead and brought to life.
He is risen and brings power, He reigns and brings peace.
The world can't understand Him. The armies can't defeat Him.
The leaders can't ignore Him, the schools can't explain Him and
Herod couldn't kill Him.

The Pharisees couldn't confuse Him. The people couldn't hold Him.
Nero couldn't crush Him, Hitler couldn't silence Him.
The new age can't replace Him, and Donahue can't explain Him away.
He is light, love, longevity, and Lord. He is goodness, kindness, gentleness, and God.
He is holy, righteous, mighty, powerful, and pure.
His ways are right. His word is eternal. His will is unchanging and His mind is on me.
He is my redeemer, my savior, my guide, my peace and joy,
He is my comfort, He is my Lord and He rules my life. His burden is light.
His goal for me is abundant life. I follow Him because He is the wisdom of the wise,
the powerful of the powerful, the ancient of days, the ruler of rulers
the leader of leaders, the overseer of the overcomers.
The sovereign Lord of all that was and is to come.

And if it seems impressive to you, try this for size.
His goal is a relationship with me, He will never leave me,
never forsake me,never mislead me, never forget me, never overlook me.
Never cancel an appointment. When I fall He lifts me up.
When I fail he forgives. When I am weak, He is strong.

When I am lost, He is the way. When I am afraid He is my courage.
When I stumble He steadies me. When I am hurt He heals me.
When I am broken He mends me. When I'm hungry He feeds me.
When I face trials He is with me. When I face persecution He shields me.
When I face problems He comforts me, When I face loss He provides for me.
When I face death He carries me home. He is everything for everybody everywhere.

Everytime and everyway, He is God, He is faithful. I am His and He is mine.
My Father in Heaven can whip the Father of this World!!!
So if your wondering why I feel so secure, understand this:
He said it and that settles it. God is in control and I am on His side.
That means all is well with my soul.

EVERYDAY IS A BLESSING FOR GOD IS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Opening Our Spiritual Eyes

2 Kings 6:17
And Elisha prayed, "O Lord, open his eyes so he may see." Then the Lord opened the servant's eyes, and he looked and saw the hills full of horses and chariots of fire all around Elisha.

Elisha was counseling the nation of Israel against the impending attack of the king of Aram. The Lord supernaturally gave Elisha the plans that the king was implementing, and in turn, Elisha warned Israel of each intended attack. The king could not understand why his plans were continually foiled. It seemed there was a secret informer in his midst. He was furious when he was told it was the God of Israel who was to blame for this inside information. The king decided the only way to resolve the situation was to get rid of the problem-kill Elisha.

The king's forces arrived and surrounded Elisha and his servant. Elisha's servant became upset and fearful when Elisha was not upset. Elisha immediately prayed that his servant's eyes might be opened to see that there was no need to be afraid, because the angels were protecting them.

And Elisha prayed, "O Lord, open his eyes so he may see." Then the Lord opened the servant's eyes, and he looked and saw the hills full of horses and chariots of fire all around Elisha. As the enemy came down toward him, Elisha prayed to the Lord, "Strike these people with blindness." So He struck them with blindness, as Elisha had asked (2 Kings 6:17-18).

Who is the Elisha in your life? Do you have a mentor friend who can see the activity of God in your life when you cannot see it? We all need to have somebody we can trust to help us see the activity of God. It is often difficult for us to see what God is really doing because we are so consumed by the circumstances of the moment. Ask God today to help open your spiritual eyes that you might see Him in your circumstances.

i would rather sink with my faith than sail happy shores without having a faith experience.

 Using Satan for God's Purposes

1 Corinthians 5:5
Hand this man over to satan, so that the sinful nature may be destroyed and his spirit saved on the day of the Lord.

Paul encountered a believer who was involved in an incestuous relationship in the Corinthian church. This man was deluded by Satan and was controlled by immorality. The man was unwilling to change his behavior, so Paul recommended to the church that tough actions be taken. He spiritually handed this man over to Satan for the destruction of his flesh for the benefit of his soul. The idea is that the person will wallow in the pit of sin so long until it becomes detestable to him and he cries out for God's grace. We know this man was a Christian because only a Christian can be subjected to church discipline.

Have you ever known someone who was walking in disobedience and no matter how much you prayed, he seemed oblivious to his sin? God has given one weapon to counter Satan's schemes against those who fall prey to Satan. That is, let Satan have access to them fully so that their lives become so miserable they cry out to God for mercy. Probably few of us have ever had to pray this prayer. However, you should not be fearful of this prayer for any believer who is willingly walking in disobedience. This is love - tough love. There is a time and place for tough love. I have seen this principle work. God restores His children when His Body takes a stand against sin. It is not comfortable for those who take this action.

Do you know someone who needs tough love in his or her life right now? Ask God if it is time to pray the prayer that Paul prayed: "So that his spirit might be saved on the day of the Lord."

We don't change God's message -- His message changes us.

  Clean Jokes

At the end of last semester, a fellow student complained about how he failed the English course.

The teacher invited him to write a formal letter of complaint to the principal.

I glanced at his letter to see how it was going.

His first sentence read, "Dear Principle, it is infair and unposible that I faled english."

A man was annoyed when his wife told him that a car had backed into her, damaging a fender, and that she hadn't gotten the license number. "What kind of car was he driving?" the husband asked.

"I don't know," she said. "I never can tell one car from another."

At that, the man decided the time had come for a learning course, and for the next few days, whenever they were driving, he made her name each car they passed until he was satisfied that she could recognize every make.

It worked.

About a week later she bounded in with a pleased expression on her face. "Darling," she said. "I hit a Buick!"

 Failure That Leads to Godliness

1 Samuel 22:2
All those who were in distress or in debt or discontented gathered around
him, and he became their leader....

God uses broken things to accomplish His greatest work. When David was
anointed to be the next king, he was just a boy, the youngest among all his brothers. Little did he know that the next several years would be years of fleeing from Saul whose successes turned into obsessions as a leader who had fallen from God's anointing. Perhaps David thought, Why am I living a life as a fugitive? I am the next king of Israel. Yet, his life was filled with adversity after adversity before he ever fulfilled the ultimate calling God had for him. Others began to hear of David's successes and identify with his
plight. But, it wasn't the successful and polished who came to join him. It was "those who were in distress or in debt or discontented" who would be part of his army-and an army it was! His army would become known throughout the world as the greatest ever assembled, not because of their skill, but because of the God behind the army. God turned David's men into "mighty men of valor" (see 1 Chron. 11:10).

God often uses failure to make us useful. When Jesus called the disciples, He did not go out and find the most qualified and successful people. He found the most willing, and He found them in the marketplace. He found a fisherman, a tax collector, a farmer, and a doctor.

The Hebrews knew that failure was a part of maturing in God. The Greeks used failure as a reason for disqualification. Sadly, in the Church, we often treat one another in this way. This is not God's way. We need to understand that failing does not make us failures. It makes us experienced. It makes us more prepared to be useful in God's Kingdom-if we have learned from it. And that is the most important ingredient for what God wants in His children.

NEW! by Os Hillman

It can be extremely difficult to see God's Hand in our lives when we are going through hardship and adversity. TGIF Today God Is First Daily Devotional author Os Hillman knows this all to well. He lost his marriage, his business, and his financial "nest egg" all within a short period of time. Through a challenging seven-year process, Os learned that God was at work using these painful circumstances to prepare him for the calling God had on his life.

If you are in the middle of adversity, or you know someone who is, or just want to learn more about why God allows adversity into our lives, this new book by Os Hillman will be a tremendous encouragement as well as a Biblically-grounded discovery of what God may just be up to "behind the scenes" during this painful and challenging time. Understanding the Source of Anger  (new)

Proverbs 29:11
A fool gives full vent to his anger, but a wise man keeps himself under control.

The marketplace can be a pressure-packed world. The demands that are often put on us can bring out things that we never knew were there. Sometimes we begin to think that the source of that pressure is to blame for our response to the pressure. It could be an event, a spouse, a boss, a client, a child, or even a driver who cuts us off in traffic.

I recall responding to a close friend one time, "If you had not done that, I would never have responded that way." Later I learned that this response had little truth to it. We all choose to get angry. No one else is to blame for our anger.

"The circumstances of life, the events of life, and the people around me in life, do not make me the way I am, but reveal the way I am" [Dr. Sam Peeples].

This simple quote has had a profound impact on how I view my anger now. Anger only reveals what is inside of me. I can't blame anyone but me for my response to a situation. I have learned that anger is only the symptom of something else that is going on inside of me. This quote now resides on my refrigerator door as a daily reminder of the truth about my response to life's situations.

It has been said that anger is like the warning panel on the dash of your car. It is the light that tells us something is going on under the hood and we need to find out what is the source of the problem. I discovered that the source of anger is often unmet expectations or personal rights. We believe we are entitled to a particular outcome to a situation. When this doesn't happen, it triggers something in us. At the core of this is fear, often a fear of failure or rejection, fear of what others think, fear of the unknown.

If you struggle with anger, ask God to reveal the source of that anger. Ask Him to heal you of any fears that may be the root of your anger. Ask God to help you take responsibility for your response to difficult situations.

"The happiest of people don't necessarily have the best of everything; they just make the most of everything that comes along their way. "

Thoughts:

"The value of consistent prayer is not that He will hear us, but
that we will hear Him."

The Lord himself will give you a sign: The virgin will be with child and will give birth to a son, and will call him Immanuel.

--Isaiah 7:14
New International Version

THOUGHTS ABOUT TODAY'S VERSE...
God is interested in us personally. So much so that he personally gives us this sign. Because of Matthew's explanation of the meaning of the name Immanuel, we know what that sign was - Jesus coming to live as God with us. His presence is God's presence. His life is God's sign. The miracle of his conception is God's mystery and also his statement of grace for us.

MY PRAYER...
Holy and Almighty Lord who refuses to be detached and far away: I thank you for coming to live among us in Jesus. I thank you and praise you for your sacrifice and pain. I know this sign cost you greatly so please let my praise in prayer, song, thought and life reflect my thanks to you in Jesus. Amen.
