The new "ism" of Globalism and Free Trade have altered the status of workers in the world.
Communism based the workday on a Collective where all workers work for the good of the Collective. It did not hold individual human dignity as a priority.
Prior to Globalization, Capitalism did support individual human dignity in the workday to a degree. However today, a new kind of Corporate Collective has arose where workers become commodities to serve massive trans-national corporations with governments acting as brokers. The tool used is Free Trade which is not the trading of products per se but instead Free Trade takes tariffs off products and puts them on workers. Economies are chopped up into pieces upsetting the common good in societies. Production and Labor are made portable ready to move again and again for the sake of cheapest labor possible. With each move, burn out societies are left behind.
Christians concepts of do unto others as you would have them do to you is challenged. In the east, the philosophers of old said the same thing in a similar way. Today Globalist Freetraders say to get the other guy before they get you in a arena of fierce competition. Small elite groupings enjoy the rewards and they say - I got mine. Why don't you have yours - as a working poor class is created in the former prosperous nations and a wage slave class is created in the more destitute nations.
