The day started off sunny so I left my leathers at home, but it didn’t take long for a storm to roll in. They had a great turnout it was good to see so many vets and supporters. We headed out as the storm headed northeast. The route was pretty good. The ride was escorted with all major intersections blocked off. Things went pretty smooth, kudos to the police dept. involved and the bike club playing road guard. It was quite a site to see that Giant POW/MIA flag flapping in the storm breeze as we pulled into New Carlisle I had never seen it hanging from a crane before. It just made me realize and remember all the fathers and sons who never got to come home again. I thought about my own family back at home waiting for me to come home for fathers day and how sad it would be for that never to happen, for so many. WE talked to a few people, one guy who had a really awesome talk like conversion to his Harley who said he used to sell them, I got some ideas for Frankie so maybe he can ride again. The food was good the band and everything else was really organized. WE stayed for the ceremony with the table and place setting for POW/MIA. The speaker said we must be valiant to make sure that nobody is forgotten, POW/MIA, ever again. Congressman Donnelly spoke then and vowed that as long as he is in office we won’t have to write, he will work to make sure serviceman are taken care of properly. I believe he is sincere as I have seen him at many veteran events and funerals I get a sense he really cares when I look him in the eye and shake his hand. We will have to see his fruit to be sure ,after, Me and Hemi motored off in separate directions to spend a little time with family before biker church.

Thanks to: The Remembrance Riders, The Wall Gang, The Pack, and all the others who made it all possible. GREAT JOB!
