Pastor Harold Hicks was born and raised in Fort Scott, Kansas, where he attended high school and Fort Scott Community College. Following graduation from Pittsburg State University where he completed his Bachelor’s as well as his Master’s degree in English, Harold served consecutive tours of commissioned service in the Army (in Germany) and in the Navy (in San Diego), He has been teaching English and other subjects for over thirty years at both high school and college levels. He currently teaches English and Religion at Fort Scott Community College. Following his completion of the Education for Ministry program, Harold was called as pastor for the First Christian Church in Yates Center, Kansas, where he and his wife Aeron were blessed to minister for over ten years. He is particularly blessed to continue his Christ-centered, people-oriented, scripture-based ministry at the Disciples Christian Church in Nevada, Missouri.
