Possibly known then as Susan E. Cody. She worked for the Reese family as a nurse in 1910 then soon after moved to Oregon for unknown reasons. There she married by Grandfather George L. Mendenhall and died in 1930. her early life is unconfirmed and a mystery to us as to why and how a young woman of 18 would travel so far without any further connections to her home. Any further information would be appreciated.
