MWO CHAMPIONSHIP TITLE MATCH
Champion JACOB BRAWN w/ Jessica Monroe
Challenger CREATURE FEATURE JOHN CAMPBELL
A classic rivalry reignites in the main event of MWO No Holds Barred as the Creature Feature John Campbell will challenge Jacob Brawn for the Michigan Wrestling Organization Championship title. These two are no strangers to one another. Brawn’s first MWO Championship came at Campbell’s expense, but the Creature Feature was able to regain the championship a few months later. However, at No Holds Barred, Campbell will soon discover that he will not be facing the same Jacob Brawn than he did in 2017. In his second reign as MWO Champion, “Evil Dirty” has demonstrated a renewed aggression and focus as he has defeated some of the biggest superstars in the organization while maintaining his title run. Meanwhile, the Creature Feature has been nothing short of a loose cannon as he has clawed his way back into title contention. Can Campbell regain the belt and once again ascend to the top of the MWO, or will he be another name on the growing list of stars that have been beaten by Brawn?
MWO TELEVISION CHAMPIONSHIP MATCH
Champion JASON "THE BASHER" CLOUSE
Challenger THE CANNONBALL ALEX STEELE
MWO history was made last Sunday when Jason “the Basher” Clouse left the live event at the UAW Local 598’s Soberfest as the new MWO Television Champion. One week later, the rematch from that big event will take place when the Cannonball Alex Steele will use his rematch clause at No Holds Barred. Clouse’s title win added his name to the exclusive Grand Slam Champion club, but as a veteran of the MWO, he knows there is little time to rest. Steele is seething over losing the title in his first defense of the belt and is likely to be using the week to study the match and correct any errors he sees on his end. Meanwhile, keeping a close eye on the outcome of this match will be the Fabulous Scotty Fraytown, who is already set to face the Basher at SummerSmash. But will Clouse be defending the TV title on August 11 or will the Cannonball redeem himself by regaining the championship?
Tag Team Champion JACK TERYN
In what will be a preview of sorts for the MWO Tag Team Championship match scheduled for SummerSmash, heavyweight powerhouses Blackwell and Jack Teryn will be representing their respective teams in a colossal one-on-one showdown this Sunday in Battle Creek. Teryn, who co-holds the tag titles with Victor Cross, is looking for revenge following being pinned by Blackwell in a six-man tag team match last weekend at the Soberfest event. The disciple member will have an advantage in terms of support as Tragedy Ann and Aksel James Geer will likely be at ringside. Blackwell, who will team with THEE Cody Leedy in the title match on August 11, has a size advantage and the faster the match ends the better the odds for the former MWO Champion.
OLD SCHOOL RIC CAURDIEA
Old School Ric Caurdiea and Roberto Cruz are two superstars who are both on the brink of a major breakthrough into the upper echelon. With Caurdiea’s sights set squarely on the MWO Championship and Cruz making waves in the Great Lakes title division, a win for either of these two superstars will be a big boost in their standings. “Old School” is building momentum and is on a hot streak that was extended with his win over Codename Omega last week in Flint. Cruz is emerging as a breakout
Hoss Fight—the imposing tandem of Adrian Anderson & Fat Tony—find themselves having to battle through a familiar enemy in order to move back into title contention in the tag team division. The monster team will battle Battle Creek’s own Valor Society in what should be a very physical match. These two teams have squared off on many occasions but this encounter will be as heated as any previous match. Loco blames Hoss Fight for DJ Edwards’ injury that prevented DJ from taking part in the triple threat tag match last weekend. But Edwards is said to be ready to go this Sunday at the Vegas Strip and will have a hometown advantage heading into No Holds Barred.
