About Sequoia

Sequoia Elisabeth Carpenter is a Spiritual Peacemaker minister ordained June 2007 by James Twyman and the Beloved Community. Peace has always been her focus as has helping others. She was born in Tennessee and grew up there, near the Smokey Mountains. Sequoia's previous professional career was in Radiology and Magnetic Resonance Imaging but since her ordination new horizons are availing themselves.  She is presently pursuing her Master's degree in Adult Education and Training, plus she is now offering Spiritual Counseling.  Sequoia is very well traveled in the USA and has even been to the Mediterranean a few yrs ago, as well as Mexico, Canada, and the western Caribbean.  Spirituality and Inspirational materials have been her passion for the past 15yrs at least. Growing up in the south, Sequoia is thoroughly versed in Christian beliefs since her family was Methodist and her best friend Baptist. Sequoia attended many functions where they taught “the bible”, however did not attend church formally until later when she met her second partner in 1995.  They attended New Thought Churches, mostly Science of Mind.  She completed the basic courses with Religious Science but changed to a more open doctrine for her ordination.  Sequoia considers herself a Metaphysician and a student of life. Her formal education in metaphysics includes The College of Metaphysical Studies, Science of Mind and The Beloved Community Seminary.  Her life experience and own personal studies are extensive and culminate in the two books “the Art of Spiritual Peacemaking” and “A Course in Miracles”.  Other specific authors who have really impacted and guided Sequoia are Neale Donald Walsh, James Redfield, Ernest Holmes, Greg Braden, Gary Renard, Louise Hay, Deepak Chopra, and Tom Youngholm. There are many others but these are the most influential and listed in order of influence. Sequoia's personal life has gone through many up and downs like most others, and she considers herself blessed in many ways.  For more info on Sequoia's personal life please check out,
