My name is Larry Luckinbill I will try to explain a few things about myself and my background. I grew up in the mountains North West of Cody WY. My father was a ranger for the Forest Service for many years before he started his own business in 1950 when I was 5 years old. He got into the sawmill and outfitting business. I grew up working at the small primative sawmill, logging, and wrangling horses. By the Time I was 20 I figured out that there has got to be an easier way to make a living so I borrowed money and started building up a fleet of heavy equipment and trucks and followed construction jobs mostly in NorthWestern Wyoming and all over Montana to include several jobs in Yellowstone Park and even the Missouri Breaks. Some of the jobs included road building, timber clearing, mine exploration, mine reclamation, gravel screening, flood repair(riprap), fish pond construction, plus many small hourly dirt jobs. My jobs took me to a lot of beautiful mountain country, I developed a lot of love and respect for mother nature and what She has in store for us.

In the late 70's I got interested in airplanes and got a '49 Cessna 170A and started using it to fly into jobs, haul parts and what ever. I would get my kicks out of using my plane in my business to the fullest extent of its capablity. I would land on a jobsite where no one else has ever landed or try to haul something that no one else has ever tried to haul. Ofcourse I would get a little better airplane every couple of years, but they were all taildraggers which are better for off airport landings. I headquarter at the homestead that I bought from my parents in the mountains of WY 54 miles from Cody and 23 miles from Cooke City MT but also have a place 3 miles South of Columbus MT. I commute between the two headquarters every week or two and still fly my plane when I can. I have built a new house and shop/hanger at my WY place (Crandall Creek) and hope to be able to sell a parcel or two every few years so I can aford to retire there. I love to run heavy equipment and plan on doing it until I am 90 or 100.

I was married for a few years in the mid seventies but it didn't work out. I have enjoyed the companionship of a few girl friends since then and now I share my homes with a special lady Linda and our dog Towser. I think a person should work a little and play a little every day just in case we aren't around tomorrow.            I will add more later
