Insurance
The trend in the insurance industry is toward investigating suspicious claims, and many of the country's largest firms turn to Central New York Investigation Bureau for their investigative needs. With insurance premiums on the rise, largely due to fraudulent claims, investigation of these claims is the industry's only option.
Some of the investigative services we offer are:
- Activity checks
Has a claimant been designated as permanently disabled? Our investigators locate the claimant, who may be interviewed to determine the extent of his or her disability, financial status, and whether the claimant has resumed working. We may interview neighbors or perform a profile of daily activities. Our investigators can also perform more discreet inquiries into the claimant's activities, by interviewing neighbors, and other available means. Additionally, our investigators will ascertain the name of the claimant's current treating physician, what they are being treated for, medications they may be taking, etc.
- Surveillance
When information indicates a high probability that a claim is fraudulent, surveillance is a key option available to the insurance adjuster. Our specialized vehicles and equipment allow us to obtain superior quality video footage and photographs of the claimant, suitable for legal presentation.
