Boardman River Guided Fishing

The Boardman is a series of impoundments; tail waters and spring feed feeder creeks.

It’s headwaters start near Kalkaska and the river builds in size to were it meets Grand Traverse bay in Traverse City. The Boardman runs through rural forest and into the urban environment of northern Michigan’s largest city.

The Boardman offer a unique fishery, with a strong fly-fishing history (The Adams fly pattern was originated on the water shed). From warm water species like Rock Bass, Pike and Small Mouth to migratory runs of Steelhead, Salmon and lake run Browns, the Boardman offers a diverse and yet challenging fishing opportunity for fly fisherman.
